How we got here
I am a long-time KY resident, though I was born and raised "up north". I moved to KY to go to college, and now almost two decades later I'm still here. My husband and I love calling KY home and are glad to raise our kids here.
I am a lover of creating space for relationship and meaningful connections. And meaningful conversation happens often over food, am I right? I've loved making our home a place of welcome and have always hoped our home would be a haven to many.
It was a pipe dream for a long time that one day I'd open a bakery. While one day I'd love to have a brick and mortar shop, right now isn't the season to pursue that for our family. So I am BEYOND EXCITED to launch my licensed home bakery and to begin sharing tasty morsels with you that way.
Baking has always been a form of therapy for me. The process, the creativity, the passing on to others...I remember when I began having significant health issues more than a decade ago and having to completely change how I ate. Giving up baking felt like a huge blow. But slowly, over a few years, I began to create and explore (through expensive trial and error initially) how to navigate a wide variety of accomodated recipes. I know how hard it is to not be able to walk into a store or restaurant or even a friend's house and just know there will be something you can eat. Allow me to come alongside you and make that burden easier.
Always feel free to ask questions! And send me a dm if you have special requests beyond the published menu!
Blessings,
Keturah
